(a) The full-time position of Deputy Fiscal Officer is hereby created.
(b) The Deputy Fiscal Officer shall be appointed by the Mayor and shall act under the direction of the Mayor and the Village Fiscal Officer, subject to confirmation by the Council.
(c) The Deputy Fiscal Officer shall render all such assistance to the Village Fiscal Officer as the Village Fiscal Officer may require and, during any period when the Village Fiscal Officer is absent or unavailable or unable for any cause to perform his/her duties, shall be the Acting Village Fiscal Officer and shall have full power and authority to perform all things which the Village Fiscal Officer is authorized or required to perform.
(d) The Deputy Fiscal Officer shall be compensated at a rate fixed from time to time by the Council and authorized by ordinance.
(e) The Deputy Fiscal Officer shall furnish bond to the Village, at its cost, in the sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000). (Ord. 3913. Passed 2-15-17.)
