Effective January 1, 2004, the Mayor shall receive compensation for the performance of the duties of his office in the annual amount of eighteen thousand dollars ($18,000) per year, which shall be paid in substantially equal monthly installments. The Mayor shall furnish bond in the amount of one thousand dollars ($1,000), the premium of which shall be paid by the Village.
