In pursuance of the authority conferred by Neb. RS 19-901 through 19-914 as amended, this chapter is enacted for the purpose of promoting the health, safety, convenience, order, prosperity and welfare of the present and future inhabitants in the village by regulating and restricting the height, number of stories, and size of buildings and other structures, the size of yards, courts, and other open spaces, and the location and use of buildings, structures and land for trade, industry, residence, or other purposes in accordance with the Comprehensive Plan and the zoning maps adopted herewith.
