The Board of Trustees Chairperson shall be selected at the first regular meeting of the Board in December by the Board of Trustees from its own membership. The Chairperson shall preside at all meetings of the Board. In the absence of the Chairperson, the Board shall elect one of its own body to occupy the place temporarily who shall hold the title of Chairperson pro tempore. The Chairperson and Chairperson Pro Tempore shall have the same powers and privileges as other members of the Board. The Chairperson shall cause the ordinances of the Board to be printed and published for the information of the inhabitants. The Chairperson shall also perform all duties of his or her office in accordance with the laws of the state and the ordinances of the municipality. The qualifications for the Chairperson shall be the same general qualifications that apply to the Board of Trustees.
