§ 20-107  SUSPENSION OF CHARGES.
   1.   The Supervisors of the Township acknowledge that certain township residents are or may be absent from the township for extended periods of time. This absence can create a situation in which no garbage or rubbish is produced at the vacant premises and no garbage or rubbish storage, collection, transportation and disposal services are needed during the period of absence. In the event that a township resident is to be absent from his or her property for a period of 30 consecutive days or more and the property is to remain vacant, unoccupied and uninhabited during said period, either by the owner or by any other occupant, the Supervisors agree that, upon approval by the township, the collection charges set forth in § 20-106 shall be suspended during the period of absence.
   2.   To qualify for the suspension of garbage and rubbish collection charges during a period of absence of 30 consecutive days or more, the resident shall submit his or her monthly coupons to the township prior to the date that payment is due, marking “VACANT” on each coupon for which the suspension of charges is requested. In the event that a resident fails to submit the coupon in the manner set forth, billing will either resume or continue in the usual manner.
