The Parks and Recreation Director shall perform the following duties.
(A) Plan program. Plan, promote, organize, and supervise a comprehensive municipal recreation program and administer the same in the interest of the entire community.
(B) Supervise recreation areas. Supervise the recreational use of parks, playgrounds, play fields, recreation centers, swimming pools, ball diamonds, and those other recreation areas and facilities made available to carry out the city’s recreation program.
(C) Maintain pools and diamonds. Maintain ball diamonds, swimming pools, and other recreational facilities assigned.
(D) Issue permits. Issue permits for use of the parks and other purposes provided by law.
(E) Conduct community activity. Conduct and supervise any form of recreational, cultural, or social activity that will employ the leisure time of the citizens in a wholesome and constructive manner.
(F) Attend Board meetings. Attend all meetings of the Parks and Recreation Board and consult with the Board regarding his or her programs.
