Adult school police shall be a special force within the Division of Police appointed and removed by the Mayor upon recommendation of the Safety Director as part of the unclassified service of the city to direct pedestrian and vehicular traffic at selected school crossings within the city during the regular school term when classes are in session. Adult school police shall have authority only at the particular crossing to which each is assigned.
