(A) The Utilities Director is hereby appointed to be the city’s delegate, and the electric superintendent is hereby appointed to be the city’s alternate to American Municipal Power-Ohio’s Northwest Area Service Group, Ohio Municipal Electric Generating Agency Joint Venture 2 and Joint Venture 5, and the Municipal Energy Services Agency (MESA), with all the rights, duties and obligations of the representative.
(B) If the Utilities Director and electric superintendent are unable to attend any meeting to be held by AMP-Ohio NWASG, OMEGA JV2 or JV5, or MESA, the Mayor may appoint in writing another city employee, official, or officer as an alternate designee to attend any such meeting to represent the city. The city representative shall have the same authority as the Utilities Director and electric superintendent in representing the city at the meetings.
(C) The city hereby revokes any previous grants of authority and/or appointments of any other person by name or title as the city’s representative to AMP-Ohio NWASG, OMEGA JV2 or JV5, or MESA. By the enactment of this section, the city hereby modifies, but only to the limited extent inconsistent herewith, any earlier adopted ordinance granting authority and/or appointing any other person by name or title as the city’s representative to AMP-Ohio NWASG, OMEGA JV2 or JV5, MESA, or the like.
