(A) Rates are established for grave lot purchases and cemetery services for the city and set forth in § 35.70:
(B) In addition, footers/foundations will be provided by the city in the following sizes for a fee:
(1) Footer A (single grave) 40 inches wide by 22 inches in depth by 30 inches thick per fee set forth in § 35.70; or
(2) Footer B (double grave) 68 inches wide by 22 inches in depth by 30 inches thick per fee set forth in § 35.70.
(3) Footer for infant grave 24 inches wide by 14 inches in depth by 14 inches thick per fee set forth in § 35.70.
(4) All U.S. military veterans foundation for a plaque (not a headstone) shall be furnished by the city at no charge. These foundations for plaques are typically 32 inches wide, 20 inches in depth and four inches thick.
(5) All available lots for sale with pre-poured foundations already in place, the lots and the foundations will be sold together at the time of purchase of the lot.
(C) No one may purchase more than four grave lots per calendar year unless special permission is granted the Public Works Director.
(D) For the purpose of the rates and charges set forth in this section, a RESIDENT shall be defined as being legally domiciled in the city corporation limits on the date of death or at the time of grave lot purchase. Proof of residency required.
(E) All cemetery fees must be pre-paid in full to the city at the Administrative Services Building prior to services provided. Payment may be made to the city by the Funeral Director, the family or a representative of each.
(1) Upon payment for interment, the city will place on its calendar the date and time of the funeral at the cemetery meeting requirements of this section.
(2) There shall be a minimum two-hour period of start time between funerals on the calendar.
(3) Normal burial times shall be during municipal business hours Monday thru Friday and before 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. No burials are to be held on a Sunday unless special permission is granted by the Public Works Director.
(4) For a funeral entering the cemetery after 2:00 p.m. on a weekday, the weekend interment rate applies. This rate does not apply to funerals that were affected by § 91.03 (E)(2).
(F) Funeral directors or family members making burial arrangements shall be deemed duly authorized agents of the owner of the burial easement and personal representative of the deceased and shall assume financial responsibility for all costs associated with errors in the location of graves or burial lots resulting from inaccurate instructions to city cemetery personnel.
