(A) The Communications Director shall act as the Public Information Officer for the city, respond to all media inquiries on behalf of departments and divisions, be responsible for the management and operation of the city's electronic communications platforms, issue all press releases, and other duties as assigned by the Mayor.
(B) The Mayor may, at his or her discretion, assign the responsibilities of the Communications Director in part or whole to another department or division.
