(A) Receptacles required. The solid waste contractor shall provide to the occupant of every dwelling in the village a garbage container and a recycling container. Residents shall use these containers for the disposal of garbage, refuse and recyclables.
(B) Specifications. The containers will be those specified in the current waste collection agreement.
(C) Placement and removal of containers.
(1) If the containers have lids or covers, they are to be kept covered at all times and shall be kept or placed in a location that is least offensive to persons living in the vicinity.
(2) All containers shall be placed at the street or curb side at the scheduled time for collection and no more than 24 hours before the scheduled collection time.
(3) No container shall remain on or next to the street right-of-way for more than 24 hours after collection.
(D) Defective containers. Whenever any garbage or recycling container becomes damaged and/or defective, the occupant of the property must bring that container to the Village Hall and request a replacement.
