1373.09 CONSTRUCTION IN SECOND FIRE DISTRICT; MOVING BUILDINGS; EXCEPTIONS.
   All new construction, alterations, additions of buildings to be moved upon property within the Second Fire District shall be of Type 1 (fireproof) or Type II (semi-fireproof) construction. No addition or alteration shall be increased in height or by being extended on any side unless the construction of such addition or alteration conforms to the requirements of this chapter for new buildings within such area. The total area of the building as extended shall not exceed the allowable area requirements of the Zoning Ordinance.
   (a)   In buildings permitted within the Second Fire District, fire walls or party walls shall be constructed at least eighteen inches above the ceiling or roof and shall be in thickness not more than twelve inches and built so as to have a fire resistance rating of not less than one hour.
   (b)   No buildings shall hereafter be moved into the Second Fire District unless such building is of a type of construction required for new buildings in the First Fire District.
   (c)   Exceptions to the above regulations shall be the same as set forth for the First Fire District in Section 1373.07.
