2-2-5: POWERS AND DUTIES:
It shall be the duty of the Airport Commission for the orderly and efficient administration and operation of the Boise Airport:
   A.   To study the economic and physical conditions and problems in connection with the maintenance, operation, regulation, control and use of the Boise Airport;
   B.   To propose rules and regulations for the regulation, control and use of the Boise Airport, and the maintenance and operation of hangars, repair shops, depots, taxi strips and all other facilities and utilities required, necessary or convenient for the proper orderly and efficient administration, operation, superintendence and control of the Boise Airport;
   C.   To propose plans, recommendations and suggestions for the purpose of planning for further growth, development and regulation of the Boise Airport in order to promote the public interest, convenience and welfare in the administration and operation of the Boise Airport, as well as to promote business activities to serve as a catalyst for economic development throughout the City and region;
   D.   All rules and regulations proposed by the Airport Commission shall be submitted to the Mayor and Council for approval and ratification and, after such approval and ratification, shall have the force and effect of ordinance. All rules and regulations of the Airport Commission now in effect shall have the force and effect of ordinance and shall remain in full force and effect until amended, altered or repealed;
   E.   To advise the Mayor and Council in regard to rules and regulations for aircraft traffic regulation, airport facilities and runway improvements;
   F.   To advise the Mayor and Council regarding airport facilities and runway improvements; and
   G.   To formulate, propose and recommend such rules and regulations necessary or desirable to carry out the intent and purpose of this chapter. (Ord. 22-13, 7-23-2013)
