In accordance with Idaho Code title 50, compensation for the Mayor and City Council members shall be fixed by ordinance at least seventy five (75) days prior to any general City election. Annual salaries are effective January 1 of the following year.
A. Mayor: The annual salary of the Mayor shall be as follows:
1. The Mayor shall receive an annual salary of one hundred forty five thousand, ninety nine dollars ($145,099.00), effective January 1, 2020.
2. The Mayor shall receive an annual salary of one hundred forty five thousand, ninety nine dollars ($145,099.00), effective January 1, 2021.
3. The Mayor shall receive an annual salary of one hundred forty eight thousand dollars ($148,000.00) effective January 1, 2022.
4. The Mayor shall receive an annual salary of one hundred fifty thousand, nine hundred sixty one dollars ($150,961.00) effective January 1, 2023.
5. The Mayor shall receive an annual salary of one hundred fifty three thousand, ninety hundred eighty dollars ($153,980.00) effective January 1, 2024.
6. The Mayor shall receive an annual salary of one hundred fifty seven thousand, sixty dollars ($157,060.00) effective January 1, 2025.
B. Council: The annual salary of each member of the City Council shall be as follows:
1. Each member of the City Council shall receive an annual salary of twenty six thousand four hundred thirty dollars ($26,430.00), effective January 1, 2020.
2. Each member of the City Council shall receive an annual salary of twenty six thousand, four hundred thirty dollars ($26,430.00), effective January 1, 2021.
3. Each member of the City Council shall receive an annual salary of twenty six thousand, nine hundred fifty nine dollars ($26,959.00) effective January 1, 2022.
4. Each member of City Council shall receive an annual salary of twenty seven thousand, four hundred ninety eight dollars ($27,498.00) effective January 1, 2023.
5. Each member of City Council shall receive an annual salary of twenty eight thousand, forty eight dollars ($28,048.00) effective January 1, 2024.
6. Each member of City Council shall receive an annual salary of twenty eight thousand, six hundred nine dollars ($28,609.00) effective January 1, 2025.
C. Acting Mayor: Whenever any member of the City Council assumes the Office of Mayor during the Mayor's absence, that Council member shall receive an additional one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) per day while so acting.
D. Presiding Over Special Meetings: Whenever any member of the Council presides over a special meeting as an official that is not a regularly scheduled part of their duties, thereby performing a swearing-in ceremony or acting as chair for a City Council meeting in Mayor's absence, such Council member shall receive an additional fifty dollars ($50.00) per day in performance of those duties.
E. Incidental Expenses: The Mayor and each member of City Council shall receive one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) per month to be used for incidental expenses, including in-town travel, meetings and cellular phone use.
