For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
FOOD DISPENSER. Any person, firm or corporation that keeps for sale, and serves to the general public, for consumption on the premises, or on the sidewalk or public way contiguous to the premises, any articles of food or drink for human consumption. Restaurants, ordinaries, coffee houses, ice cream parlors, lunch rooms, tea rooms, lunch stands, refreshment stands, box lunch deliveries, luncheonettes, cafeterias and retail drug stores serving counter lunches and drinks shall be included among FOOD DISPENSERS.
SERVES. The placing of the food for the convenience of the patron into any cup, glass, cone, dish, plate or other receptacle from which the patron may conveniently “consume it”.
