§ 114.003 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   NEWSRACK. Any vending machine the purpose of which is to dispense, distribute or sell newspapers, magazines, books, pamphlets, periodicals or other literature.
   PARKWAY. The area of the street between the nearest edge of the pavement and sidewalk; or, in areas where there is no sidewalk, that area of the street between the nearest edge of the pavement and the property line.
   PAVEMENT. The area of the street the primary purpose being for the passage, parking or standing of motor vehicles. PAVEMENT includes curbs, gutters and any sewer structures.
   SIDEWALK. Any paved surface the primary purpose being for the passage of pedestrians.
   STREET. Any area dedicated to public use for street, highway, alley or roadway purposes, including, but not limited to, the areas of pavement, parkway and sidewalk.
