(a) No person shall place, construct or install an actual or potential source of pollution or contamination closer to a well, or construct a well closer to an actual or potential source of pollution or contamination, than the isolation distances prescribed by state law, unless a variance has been granted.
(b) For the purposes of this section, the term
WELL shall have the meaning given in M.S. § 103I.005, subd. 21, as it may be amended from time to time, and the phrase POLLUTION OR CONTAMINATION shall have the meaning given in Minnesota Rules part 4725.0100, subpart 34.
