§ 15.144 APPLICATION.
   (a)   Each year any person who intends to make , and in the city shall make application to the city on a form prepared by the Director of Community Development and filed with the Utilities Division.
   (b)   Each application shall be accompanied by the payment of a fee as set forth in City Code Appendix A.
   (c)   Any person not licensed as a plumber by the state shall be required to take an examination to determine his or her skill and knowledge. This examination shall be given by the Director of Community Development of the City.
   (d)   Each licensee shall file with the city a surety in an amount not less than $6,000 to insure proper performance of work in connection with the , or to save and hold the city harmless in the performance of his or her work and to insure completion of a , , or in the event of failure or defect caused by the licensee.
   (e)   Each licensee shall secure and maintain, during the term of his or her license, public liability insurance of at least $200,000 for bodily injury to, or death of, any one person; and $500,000 for bodily injury, or death of, two or more persons in any one accident; and at least $100,000 for property damage. The city will be an additional named insured.
