A. The village president may appoint, subject to confirmation by the board of trustees, advisory members to the planning and zoning commission, who shall serve without compensation. The terms of office of advisory members shall be fixed at the time of appointment. Advisory members may participate in all deliberations of the planning and zoning commission but may not vote on any matter coming before the planning and zoning commission and shall not be counted in determining whether a quorum of the planning and zoning commission is present.
B. The village planner, the village attorney and the building and zoning official shall be accessible to the planning and zoning commission for the express purpose of planning and zoning commission review. The planning and zoning commission shall have reasonable authority to enlist the aid of other village officials and department directors and request their attendance at meetings of the planning and zoning commission.
