4-11-3: DEFINITIONS:
The following words and phrases shall have the meanings, and are hereby defined, as follows:
 
RESIDENTIAL DWELLING:
A permanent building, designed or used exclusively for residential occupancy.
RESIDENTIAL DWELLING UNIT:
One or more rooms which are arranged, designed or used as living quarters. A single residential unit providing complete, independent living facilities for one or more persons with available kitchen and bathroom facilities, including permanent provisions for living, bathing, sleeping, eating, cooking and sanitation. A residential dwelling unit shall include, but is not limited to, a single-family detached home; an attached single-family duplex, triplex, townhome, condominium unit; apartment or individual rooming unit(s); such other residential building or structure, or additions thereto, wherein the owner or owner's agent allows a tenant or tenants to occupy space.
RESIDENTIAL DWELLING RENTAL UNIT:
A residential dwelling unit as defined herein, intended to be leased or rented with or without compensation, to tenants inclusive of family members, together with all land appurtenances, accessory buildings or structures.
TENANT:
A person who has entered into a written or oral agreement with a property owner, or property owner's agent or representative, entitling possession and occupancy of the premises whether or not payment is provided for tenant occupancy. (Ord. 2020-36, 12-14-2020; Ord. 2021-22, 6-28-2021)
