A. Established: The village shall impose upon all drawers a fee of twenty dollars ($20.00) for all checks payable to the village which are returned because the drawer did not have sufficient funds in his account, or because the drawer did not have an account with the drawee, or because the drawer did not have sufficient credit with the drawee.
B. Form Of Payment: The village shall reserve the right to demand payment in full of this fee in the form of United States currency, cashier's check or money order prior to accepting any other payment in consideration of any other amounts owed by the drawer to the village.
C. Failure To Pay: Failure to pay this fee upon demand may result in the village taking legal action against and/or suspending services to the drawer who has written nonsufficient funds checks, checks on closed accounts or has insufficient credit with the drawee. (Ord. 2000-38, 9-11-2000)
