§ 53.16  WELLHEAD PROTECTION AREAS; BOUNDARIES.
   (A)   WELLHEAD PROTECTION AREA means the surface and subsurface area surrounding a water well or well field, supplying a public water supply system, through which contaminants are reasonably likely to move toward and reach such water or well field.
   (B)   (1)   The City Council designates a wellhead protection area for the purpose of protection of the public water supply system.
      (2)   This delineation is based upon a map prepared by the state’s Rural Water Association and adopted by the state’s Department of Environmental Quality presented to the city on 3-8-2000.
