(A) Classes. There shall be two classes of building sewer permits:
(1) For residential and commercial service; and
(2) For service to establishments producing industrial wastes.
(B) Application; supplementary documents. In either case, the owner or his or her agent shall make application on a special form furnished by the town. The permit application shall be supplemented by any plans, specifications or other information considered pertinent in the judgment of the Public Works Director.
(C) Permit, inspection and tapping fees.
(1) A permit and inspection fee for a residential or commercial building sewer permit and for an industrial building sewer permit shall be paid to the town at the time the application is filed in an amount specified by the Town Council from time to time.
(2) In addition to the permit and inspection fee, a tapping fee in an amount specified by the Town Council from time to time shall be paid to the town at the time the application is filed where the property requiring sewer service has not been previously connected with the town sewer.
(D) Service line installation or repairs; permit requirements. Any and all installation, repair, replacement or alteration of service lines from the main to the consumer’s premises shall require a permit issued by the town. The permit shall set forth the reason for work and a description of the work to be performed. The holder of the town permit shall be primarily responsible for compliance with town standards, the State Plumbing Code, these rules and regulations or any other applicable rules and regulations.
