(a) No person shall permit any domestic or companion animal upon any part of Jeffrey Park or Commonwealth Park, or upon any part of a City-controlled park or recreational property where signage is posted prohibiting the same, except a service animal accompanying a person with a disability. For the purpose of this section, "service animal" is defined as any dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental disability.
(b) Whoever violates subsection (a) is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
