§ 90.02 REGULATION OF DOGS.
   (A)   Generally.
      (1)   It shall be unlawful for any resident to be a keeper of a dog within the Town of Beverly Shores unless he or she shall first procure a license therefore from the Pine Township Trustee or as otherwise provided for by law.
      (2)   Unless otherwise prohibited by law, non-residents or part-time residents of Beverly Shores are exempted from the license provision if their dog wears an identification tag showing the name and address of the keeper.
      (3)   It shall be unlawful for full-time and part-time residents and for nonresidents to keep a dog in Beverly Shores without the keeper possessing a valid certificate of rabies inoculation for the dog.
   (B)   Leashes, muzzles and the like required. It shall be unlawful, and the same is hereby declared to be a nuisance, for the owners, keeper, custodian or possessor of any like animal to permit or take the animal upon any public highway, street, alley or ground unless that animal shall be securely and effectively controlled by means of a leash, muzzle, halter, collar or other means as the size and type of animal shall dictate.
   (C)   Roaming at large. It shall be unlawful, and the same is hereby declared a nuisance, for the owner, keeper, custodian or possessor of any dog to permit an animal to roam or run at large in the town. These animals may be captured, impounded and destroyed consistent with the provisions of § 90.04.
