8-6-2: SALES AUTHORIZED IN PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY:
Notwithstanding any other provision of this code, persons who have been permitted by the city, in writing, to sell products in the public right of way at a farmers' market, or in conjunction with a farmers' market, may encroach into the public right of way for the purpose of participating in the farmers' market and associated city approved vending in those areas closed to vehicular traffic. Such encroachment shall be limited to the extent authorized by the city in writing and shall be conducted pursuant to the city's market rules. In addition, notwithstanding any other provision of this code, such persons may conduct business outside of a permanent and substantial building during the operation of the farmers' market and pursuant to the city's market rules.
