The permittee shall be responsible for any and all damage or injury caused to property, either directly or indirectly, in the conduct of operations or activity under any permit issued pursuant to this chapter, and shall immediately notify the transportation/engineering official of any such damage or injury. The permittee shall promptly repair, or arrange for prompt repair of any damage to public or private property, and upon failure to promptly effect repair, the city may repair or cause such repairs to be made, and assess the cost of such repair against any security bond of the permittee.
