A. Except as otherwise provided for in this section, no person shall stop, park or leave standing any vehicle in the spaces identified as tour bus staging zones during the time period posted.
B. The transportation official is authorized to establish tour bus staging zones for any day and period of time on any nonresidential street for a distance of up to twelve (12) metered parking spaces or two hundred forty feet (240'), whichever is less, when the transportation official finds that it is necessary to provide tour buses a safe and convenient location from which tour buses may stage their tour bus operations so as not to interfere with other traffic in the business districts of the City. Prior to establishing a tour bus staging zone, the transportation official shall consult with the Traffic and Parking Commission as to whether a tour bus staging zone should be established. In all other circumstances, tour bus staging zones may be established by resolution of the City Council.
C. Tour bus operators shall utilize staging zones to park their tour bus and to wait, as authorized in this section and section 7-2-209 of this chapter.
D. Tour bus operators shall not stage their vehicles in any location except designated tour bus staging zones.
E. No tour buses shall park in the tour bus staging zones for a period in excess of the time posted.
