Each member of the council shall receive as monthly salary the sum of seven hundred eighty five dollars eighty one cents ($785.81) which shall be payable at the same time and in the same manner as salaries paid to other officers and employees of the city. This compensation shall not take effect until that date in April 2007, on which new terms of office will begin. (1962 Code § 2-3.22; amd.
