4-2-803: RESTRICTIONS AND PROHIBITIONS:
   A.   No person shall use any lobby or public room in any hotel for the purposes of solicitation; and no person shall linger, loiter, sit, stand, or otherwise use for such purposes any lobby or public room in any hotel in violation of the expressed wish of the owner or manager of such hotel.
   B.   No person shall use the street or sidewalk in front of or adjacent to any place of business where goods, wares, or merchandise are sold, or where services are offered for gain, or any entrance, doorway, or hallway immediately opening upon any public way for the purpose of importuning or soliciting patrons by word of mouth or gesture, or by any sound making device, to enter such place of business for the purpose of examining or purchasing any goods, wares, or merchandise or hiring or bargaining for any services therein; and provided further, no person shall use any public street, sidewalk, or way, doorway, or entranceway to any building for business purposes, or solicit for the sale of goods, wares, or merchandise or services of any kind or character, wheresoever situated, except for those special businesses for which permits or licenses are issued pursuant to the provisions of this Code.
   C.   No solicitor or canvasser shall ring the bell or knock on the door of any residence, dwelling, or apartment, or attempt to gain admittance thereto, whereon a sign is posted bearing the words "No Solicitors", "No Solicitors or Peddlers", or words of similar import indicating that solicitors are not desired.
   D.   No person shall remain upon any private property or business premises within the City after being notified by the owner, lessee, occupant, or another person in charge thereof to leave.
   E.   No solicitor of canvasser shall ring the bell or knock on the door of any residence, dwelling, or apartment, or attempt to gain admittance thereto, for the purposes of commercial soliciting or canvassing on any Sunday, or any holiday; or before nine o'clock (9:00) A.M. or after five o'clock (5:00) P.M. on any other day.
