A violation of any provision of this chapter is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), or by imprisonment in the county jail for a period not exceeding six (6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Any person found to have violated any provision of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a separate and distinct offense for each day, or portion thereof, during which such violation continues, and shall be punishable accordingly.
