10-3-2818: PARKING; LOCATION AND SHIELDING OF FACILITIES:
All parking facilities in the R-3 and R-4, R-4X1, and R-4X2 multiple-family residential zones shall be provided within a structure on the same site as the building which contains the dwelling unit served by the parking. Furthermore, no parking space shall be located within twenty five feet (25') of the front entrance to such parking structure, unless such parking space is completely screened from view from all public streets. The front access, including driveways and entrances, to a parking facility shall not exceed twelve feet (12') in width if the parking facility serves a site area of less than or equal to sixty feet (60') in width.
Except for the required entrances and exits, all parking structures shall be constructed so as to shield the parked automobiles from horizontal view in all directions and so as to comply with the noise abatement provisions of this code. Additionally, such structures shall be enclosed with solid walls when the structures are adjacent to a residentially zoned property or separated from that property solely by an alley.
No parking space shall be located within a front yard. (Ord. 96-O-2266, eff. 10-18-1996)
