A. Permit Required: It shall be unlawful to erect or keep any stand for the sale of fruit, vegetables, or other substances or commodities on any sidewalk, street or alley, or to use or occupy any vehicle for the sale therefrom of any article on any street or alley without first obtaining a written permit therefor from the mayor.
B. Interruption Of Pedestrians: It shall be unlawful to place upon or above any sidewalk, any goods or merchandise for sale or for display in such a manner as to interfere with the free and uninterrupted passage on the sidewalk of pedestrians. In no case shall more than two feet (2') of the sidewalk next to the building be occupied for such purposes. (2008 Code § 27-3)
