A. Appointment; Term: The Chief of the Fire Department shall be appointed by the City Administrator. The Fire Chief shall be removed from his or her position as Fire Chief in accordance with section 1-10-3 of this Code, and subject to the consent of a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the Council. B. General Authority: The Fire Chief shall supervise the Fire Department, subject to the control of the Council. (2008 Code § 11-34)
C. Appointments By Chief: The full time positions shall be filled by appointment by the Fire Chief from the list of persons for the specific position duly certified by the Civil Service Commission. (2008 Code § 11-35)
D. Keep Records Of Members: The Fire Chief or Chief's designee shall keep a correct record of all members of the Fire Department, the date of admission and discharge, with compensation for services and amounts due each member. (2008 Code § 11-42)
E. Annual Reports: The Chief shall provide a written annual report to the Council. (2008 Code § 11-43)
