A. Vehicles Restricted: No person shall operate a motor vehicle or motorized vehicle on bicycle paths, fitness trails, jogging paths or park grounds except roads and parking lots. No such operation shall be allowed when the park is closed. This section shall not be construed to prohibit public safety vehicles from operating in the parks at any time.
B. Park Hours: All parks shall close at ten thirty o'clock (10:30) P.M. each day and shall open no earlier than five thirty o'clock (5:30) A.M. unless otherwise authorized by the board of park commissioners. All parks shall have the hours of operation posted.
C. Speed Limit: The maximum speed permitted of any motor vehicle in a city park shall be fifteen (15) miles per hour.
D. Vehicle Registration And Driver's License: All motor vehicles required to be registered by the state or this code shall likewise require such registration prior to operation on a city park road or parking area. No person shall operate a motor vehicle on a city park road or parking area without first being licensed therefor, as required by the state or this code. (2008 Code § 17-248)
