6-1-46: NEW TITLE AND REGISTRATION UPON TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP:
The purchaser or transferee of a vehicle subject to registration under Iowa Code chapter 321 shall, within thirty (30) calendar days after purchase or transfer, apply for and obtain a new registration and a new certificate of title for the vehicle, in accordance with the provisions of Iowa Code chapter 321. (2008 Code § 17-46)
