13-1-9: RULES FOR INTERPRETATION OF DISTRICT BOUNDARIES:
The boundaries of the special flood hazard areas shall be determined by scaling distances on the official flood insurance rate map. Where uncertainty exists with respect to the precise location of the base flood boundary, the location shall be determined on the basis of the base flood elevation at the particular site in question. Where interpretation is needed as to the exact location of the boundaries as shown on the official map, the administrator shall make the necessary interpretation. The person contesting the location of the boundary shall be given a reasonable opportunity to present their case and submit technical evidence. (2008 Code app. C art. III; amd. Ord. 03-21, 2-16-2021)
