13-1-8: LANDS TO WHICH REGULATIONS APPLY:
The provisions of this chapter shall apply to all lands and uses which have significant flood hazards. The flood insurance rate map (FIRM) for Scott County and incorporated areas, city of Bettendorf, panels 19163C0360H, 0367H, 0370H, 0376H, 0377H, 0378H, 0379H, 0381H, 0383H, 0386H, 0387H, 0388H, 0391H, dated April 11, 2024 and panel 19163C0369G, dated June 9, 2014, which were prepared as part of the Scott County flood insurance study, shall be used to identify such flood hazard areas and all areas shown thereon to be within the boundaries of the base flood shall be considered as having significant flood hazards. The Scott County flood insurance study is hereby adopted by reference and is made a part of this chapter for the purpose of administering floodplain management regulations.
