A. Penalty Imposed: The doing of any act prohibited or declared to be unlawful or a misdemeanor by this Code, or the omission or failure to perform any act or duty required by this Code, unless another penalty is specified, shall be punishable in accordance with the fine set forth in Iowa Code sections 903.1(1)(a) and 903.1(3). B. Construction Zone; Traffic Restrictions; Penalty: When appropriate signs delineate the beginning and ending of a construction zone, the Chief of Police may establish speed restrictions or other traffic control measures within that zone for the length of time of the construction project which are more restrictive than those established in this Code. Upon removal of the signs, the temporary restrictions shall end. Penalties for the violations of these temporary restrictions shall be as established for the violations under State law, including, but not limited to, any enhanced penalty for violation occurring in construction zones.
