(A) The duties of the Mayor of the city shall be those prescribed by the Charter of the city and the special duties as may be required by law and ordinance. He or she shall serve as the city's voting delegate to the Association of Central Oklahoma Governments and other state or national municipal organizations in which the city participates.
(B) Where appropriate, the Mayor may designate a Council member or the City Manager as an alternate voting delegate to serve in his or her absence.
