§ 94.02 CONVEYANCE OF LOTS; AUTHORITY.
   (A)   Lots in the cemetery shall be conveyed by certificate signed by the Mayor and Chairperson of the Cemetery Board and countersigned by the Clerk under the seal of the city, showing the price for which the lots were sold, and specifying that the person to whom it is issued is the owner of the lot or lots described therein by number, as laid down on the plat, for the purpose of interment. The conveyance certificate shall vest in the purchaser and his or her heirs, legatees, and devisees a right to the lot or lots, for the sole purpose of interment, under the regulations of the Council of the city as Cemetery Trustees.
   (B)   The Council, as the Cemetery Board, may limit the number of lots which may be owned by one person at the same time, may prescribe rules for enclosing, adorning and erecting monuments and tombstones on cemetery lots and shall prohibit any division of the use of lots and any improper adornment thereof. Lots sold may not be sold to a corporation, association or similar entity.
