If, in the process of moving a building, it is necessary to interfere with wires or cables of a public utility or of the city, the Director of Public Works shall require the proper cost of repairing the wires and cables to be paid by the applicant for the permit required in § 1468.01 and the proper bond to be filed in guarantee thereof. The Director shall also inspect and supervise, or cause to be inspected and supervised, the interference.
