(A) Required. No person shall move a building on, through or over a street, alley, sidewalk, parkway or other public place in the city without first obtaining a permit therefor.
(B) Applications. An application for the permit shall be made in writing to the City Collector and shall state the name and address of the applicant, the name and address of the owner of the building, the location of the building, the proposed route and the number of days it is intended that the building should occupy a portion of a street, alley, sidewalk, parkway or other public place. The application shall be accompanied by the written consent of a majority of the owners of the property fronting on the street, alley, sidewalk or other public place along which the building is proposed to be moved.
(C) Issuance. If, upon examination of the application and written consent, the Mayor and the Director of Public Works conclude that moving the building is not contrary to the public interest and safety, they shall issue, or cause to be issued, to the applicant a permit therefor, which shall be signed by each of them and by the City Collector, upon payment by the applicant to the Collector of the fee provided for in § 1444.01(B)(29) and upon filing with him or her the bond required in § 1468.02. The permit shall be good only for the number of days specified therein.
(D) Permission required. The applicant must provide the city with permission to move the building from all utility companies or railroads and/or the State Department of Transportation.
