§ 1042.19 CONNECTION REQUIREMENTS FOR NEW SERVICE; PERMITS AND INSPECTIONS.
   (A)   In addition to the application requirements set forth in § 1042.02, a person who wishes to become a water consumer shall first apply to the Director of Public Works for an inspection and permit authorizing a connection to be made with the waterworks and sewerage system, and shall, at the time of making the application, pay to the City Collector, for the inspection and permit, a fee as set forth in § 1444.01(B)(36).
   (B)   Upon the making of the application and the payment of the inspection and permit fee, the Director shall cause an inspection to be made of the proposed underground connections, and if in his or her opinion, the making of the connection is proper, a permit shall be issued. No permits shall be issued for tapping or use of water unless a building or construction permit has been issued by the city, and no mains shall be tapped, except under a permit from the Director. The tapping shall be done by the city under the supervision of the Director.
