§ 91.25 COLLECTION OF THE COSTS OF ABATEMENT FROM OWNER.
   (A)   Written demand of payment.
      (1)   Following the cleaning of trash or mowing of weeds as contemplated in § 91.24 of this chapter, the town’s Clerk-Treasurer shall determine the cost incurred by the town in performing such abatement.
      (2)   The town’s Clerk-Treasurer shall forward by first class mail (not certified) a statement of the costs of abatement to the owner and demand payment.
   (B)   Filing a lien against the property. If the town’s Clerk-Treasurer has not received payment from the owner within 30 days following written demand for payment, the town’s Clerk-Treasurer shall forward a certified statement of the amount of the abatement to the County Treasurer, and such amount shall be levied on the property and collected by the County Treasurer as other taxes authorized by law in accordance with the provisions of 11 O.S. § 22-111.
