329.03 RELOCATION OR REPLACEMENT OF TREES.
   (a)   Trees with a d.b.h. of eight inches or more shall be relocated on the parcel or replaced according to the following schedule. Any fractional number of replacement of trees shall require the next whole number.

   (b)   Replacement trees shall be planted or transplanted, with straight unscarred trunk, staked and watered.
 
   (c)   The location of replacement trees shall be subject to the approval of the Director of Public Service or his designee and shall be such as to provide the optimum enhancement, preservation and protection of wooded areas. Where wooded densities permit, tree location or replacement shall be within the same wooded area as the removed trees.
 
   (d)   Where tree relocation or replacement is not feasible within the wooded area, the relocation or replacement may be elsewhere on the property where the proposed activity is to be conducted.
 
   (e)   Trees may be transplanted or relocated from building areas to open areas on the same parcel. Trees of four inches d.b.h. or greater retained on the parcel can be given a one-to-one credit for eight-inch or greater trees which are removed.
