(a) Whoever knowingly and willfully violates any provision of Sections 197.04 through 197.09 is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree. (b) Violation of any of the provisions of Sections 197.04 through 197.09 may constitute a cause of suspension of the official or employee, removal from office or employment, or other disciplinary action.
