581.09 ISSUANCE OF ADULT ENTERTAINMENT EMPLOYEE LICENSE.
           (a)   Upon the filing of an application for an adult entertainment employee license, the Chief Building Officer shall issue a temporary license to said applicant immediately.
   (b)   Within five (5) days of receipt of an application for an adult entertainment employee license, notify the Police Chief of such application. In making such notification, the Chief Building Officer shall request that the Police Chief promptly investigate the information provided in the application concerning the criminal background of the applicant. The Police Chief shall begin his investigation promptly upon receipt of notice of an application from the Chief Building Officer, and shall provide the results of his investigation to the Chief Building Officer, in writing, with ten (10) days of receipt of the application.
    (c) Within thirty (30) days after receipt of a completed adult entertainment employee license application, the Chief Building Officer shall approve or deny the issuance of the license. The Chief Building Officer shall approve the issuance of a license to an applicant unless he/she determines that one or more of the following findings is true:
      (1)   The applicant has failed to provide information reasonably necessary for issuance of the license as requested on the application form, or has falsely answered a question or request for information on the application.
      (2)   The applicant is under eighteen (18) years of age.
      (3)   The applicant has been convicted of a specified criminal as defined in Section 581.02 of this Chapter.
      (4)   The adult entertainment employee license is to be used for employment in a business prohibited by local, state, or federal law, statute, rule or regulation.
      (5)   The applicant has been denied an adult entertainment employee license or has had an adult entertainment employee license revoked within the preceding twelve (12) months by any jurisdiction.
   (c)   The Chief Building Officer shall advise the applicant in writing of the reason(s) for any such denial. If the adult entertainment employee license is denied, the temporary license previously issued pursuant to subsection (a) hereof is immediately deemed null and void.
