Whoever violates any provision of this Housing Code or any rule or regulation promulgated thereunder or fails to comply therewith or with any written notice or written order issued thereunder or whoever interferes with, obstructs or hinders the Building Inspector while he is attempting to make a lawful inspection shall be fined not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each offense, or imprisoned not more than six months for a second or subsequent conviction, or both fined and imprisoned for a second or subsequent conviction, at the discretion of the court. Each day such violation occurs or continues shall constitute a separate offense.
