When determined through investigation by the Police Chief that weeds, grass or other undesirable vegetation exceeding the height specified in Section 680.01 exists upon any land within the corporate limits of the Municipality, the Village Clerk shall issue a notice of violation to the owner of such land by certified mail, return receipt requested. Such notice shall contain an order to cut or destroy the weeds, grass or vegetation within ten days of receipt of the notice.
